Nefarious Arms makes a 10.4" barrel for ~$500 and you'll need to replace the gas block for the 10.4 barrel. Price is between $200-$300. If you buy just the MR556 upper OR an HK416 OTB upper, you'll obviously need a lower. Here you have two main options. First, you can buy a complete MR556 lower secondhand.

This is sitting on my rock river lower at the moment. The issue i am having is when i pull the charging handle back it gets stuck right at the end of travel. The only way to release the bolt is to remove the rear takedown pin.An MR556/HK416 upper is just as easy to assemble as a DI milspec upper.
